Acceptable Use Policy
Effective: June 23, 2026 Last updated: June 23, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the Terms of Service and describes content and conduct that are not allowed on Muzan. It applies to the Customer, its team members, and anyone using the Service through its account.
1. Purpose
We want the Service to be safe, lawful, and reliable for everyone. By using the Service you agree not to misuse it as described below. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms.
2. Prohibited content
You must not upload, publish, or share content that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading (including false prices or availability);
- infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or other third-party rights;
- is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate for a restaurant menu;
- promotes illegal goods or services, or offers regulated items in violation of applicable law;
- contains malware or other harmful code.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Breaching, probing, or attempting to bypass the security or access controls of the Service.
- Accessing accounts, data, or areas of the Service without authorization.
- Scraping at scale, reverse-engineering, or copying the Service except as permitted by law.
- Overloading, disrupting, or interfering with the Service or its infrastructure, including abusive or automated request volumes beyond plan limits.
- Circumventing usage limits, metering, or access restrictions.
- Using the Service to send spam or unlawful communications, or to distribute malicious software.
- Reselling or providing the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
4. Lawful menu content and consumer compliance
You are responsible for ensuring your menus and other content are accurate and comply with applicable law, including consumer-protection, food-information, and pricing rules — for example, allergen and ingredient information, taxes and fees, and age-restricted or regulated items (such as alcoholic beverages and their lawful sale to adults). You are responsible for the accuracy of prices and availability you publish.
5. Data protection responsibilities
If you include any personal data in your content or otherwise process personal data through the Service, you must do so lawfully — as the controller — including providing required notices and having a lawful basis and any necessary consents. You must not upload special-category (sensitive) personal data. Our role and obligations as your processor are set out in the DPA.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove or disable content, throttle usage, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP or the Terms. Where practicable and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure; for serious violations or legal/security risks, we may act immediately.
7. Reporting and contact
To report abuse or a violation of this AUP, contact support@muzan.app. To report copyright infringement specifically, see our Copyright & DMCA Policy.
